Poor Laci and her three babies - Levi, Loki, and Luca - were found taped up inside a cardboard box on a hot July day in xxxx. Barely much more than a kitten herself at the time, we can't imagine the terror and helplessness the young mother felt not being able to do anything to save herself and her kittens. Fortunately, the feline family was found before any permanent physical or emotional damage was done. You'd expect that after enduring such cruel treatment, that Laci would be distrustful of humans but this is not the case. After some initial shyness, Laci is very sweet and loving. She gets along very well with other cats and you can usually find her snuggled up to one of her 'roomies' getting some sun in the big bay window of our free-roaming cat room.
